We took a boat charter for $10 each way to visit this beach and the boat ride was well worth it. The beach was beautiful and calm with lots of marine iguanas wandering about. There are two bays in this area - one too rough for swimming but full of marine iguanas and one that is very calm with fewer... More

I was not prepared to walk 3 km there and 3 km back (about 3-4 miles) but it was great exercise and more than anything it was cool to go see the beautiful beach...would I do it again? Maybe not...haha. I didn't even make it to the other lagoon as we were so tired when we got there we just... More

Lovely secluded sandy beach in a protected lagoon with soft sand and gently lapping waves. Some shade on the beach provided by the mangrove trees. Watch out for the iguanas and sea turtles as you approach the bay at the end of the 40 odd minute walk from the town centre. Well worth the walk but plan to be there... More

It's a long walk, on a well marked trail (photo added), than you arrive at a beach that you can get in, than next to it there is a "lagoon" that is safe to be , but crowded of people, if there were any fish there they will probably come back after everybody is gone. But is one of the... More

Water was incredible! On the bay side, the water was much warmer and calmer than ocean. Loved all the marine iguanas too. Fun to kayak among the mangroves.

It's a 40 minute walk to this beach, but it's easy, and worth it. You cannot swim at this beach, but it is beautiful and wide, with lots of marine iguanas. There is another beach a few minutes past the end of Tortuga Bay that is serene and you can swim there.

Tortuga Bay can be reached by walking from Puerto Ayora - about 45 minutes- or by boat. I was asking directions for the walk when a boat 'captain' said 'boat for $10'. I took the boat. We sailed along the coast, passed offshore rocks, almost reefs, then past white sand beach to turquoise waters, green sea turtles, and rays visible... More

Totally worth visiting! Its a hidden paradise. Summary: -Long walk to get there ( 3.5 kms exactly) -You must bring food water and some sort of shade, cause there is none. Except some trees in the back. -Bring towels and a matte. - You can visit by boat and its like 18 min to get there.
