This was a surprise addition to our trip based upon a TV show. The pool is hidden, a curved canyon in the cliff side. The water temperature was perfect and it feels like a hidden cove...despite the throngs of people. I would suggest wearing water shoes so that you can scale the boulders at the end of the pool and... On a sunny day early in the morning this place is amazing! Bring a go pro if you have one and don't forget to swim all the way in. If you're lucky you'll also be able to see a black and white moray eel.

The water and rocks are just beautiful. We did not see too many fish but it was still just amazing. We left Las Grietas before 9:30am and it was not too crowded then. But more people were arriving as we were leaving. The water is pretty cold, but not once you're in!

Cool, clean water and a gorgeous view as we swam between the cliffs. So beautiful, it is hard to believe such a place exists.

The attraction is about a 15 minute walk from Finch Bay. Initially you come to a fetid swamp like body of water. This is not Las Grietas, keep walking. You reach Las Grietas after walking for another 10 minutes or so. Las Grietas is a small swimming area set between two cliffs. It is quite lovely. Las Grietas is not... More

It was a hot 15 minute or so walk in from the road so we really appreciated the cool water for a refreshing swim. The water is clear and deep with a ledge in many places so you can stand. Timid swimmers may find entry and exit tricky. There are no facilities. Bring your snorkel and water proof camera to... More

The views here are amazing! While you walk to the water access, there is a little hut that sells snorkeling gear for very cheap- I highly recommend this if you plan on getting in the water. The hike is not difficult at all, I hiked it in Chacos and a swim suit and I was perfectly comfortable! There are some... More

We actually did visit this on a Saturday, but luckily got there early enough to enjoy before the crowds came. We did this our last day there. It is easy to get to by water taxi (look for the yellow ones). At first glance, the walk to the swimming spot may look intimidating, but it is easy. We rented a... More

We deliberately didn't visit at the weekend as it can be busy but we were blown away by the fact that hardly anyone was there when we turned up mid-morning on a Monday. The walk from the water taxi (80 cents pp) is interesting and easy. Do go off to the left so you can view the gorge from above... More

This was a fun, free, and beautiful swimming and snorkeling spot. An easy walk past German Beach, where you'll see nice hotels and varied landscapes. Water is super clear. Great for viewing colorful fish.
