This is basically across the street from the fish market. There are several restaurants and souvenir shops around, so it's easy to see as you walk by.

It's on the main street, just across of the fish market. A monument dedicated to Lonely George. You don't need to plan a visit, just remember to raise your eyes when you pass through.
The town's central Christmas Tree is right next to it, I imagine it looks lovely in season.

After you’ve seen the real Giant Tortoises at El Chato and the Darwin Research Center, a statue just doesn’t do a lot for you. It is centrally located so easy to find and take a picture.

Definitely a cool statue located in the heart of Puerto Ayora, but nothing to go out of your way for.

Great tortoise statue! Celebrate it while toasting beers from the nearby brewpub and bars. Definitely a keeper. Do seek him out while wandering the waterfront.

At the intersection of the two busiest streets in this sleepy town, it is symbolic of the region’s famous patron and can’t be missed as you wander through downtown. A cheesy photo opportunity for sure, but, what the heck.

Lest we forget: tortoises were crucial to the survival of the first visitors and settlers, so now we must protect them and help them make a comeback - before it’s too late!

Monument of giant tortoise on the main street of the Puerto Ayora. I saw it just coming by, it's definitely not worth to go there just to see it.
