Place of red footed booby. Had extensive coastal sight seeing of coast cliffs to see the red footed booby. Beautiful with lots of birds.

We visited Punta Pitt as a day trip from San Cristobal Island on the Galapagos Party Boat. That is just the name of the boat, it was just an excursion boat. Attentive captain and crew, knowledgeable naturalist. It was a rather difficult climb—I will rate it a 4 out of 5–but the views and the wildlife were worth it. There was a snorkeling or scuba diving experience included with the trip. I would recommend this trip if you are on San Cristobal. We booked the excursion through Sharksky. They provided walking sticks which were very helpful.

We booked a day tour to Punta Pitt on Kpitana (Wreck Bay Diving Center) with Galapagos a la Carte, and had an excellent day. Our guide, Christian was eager to share his excitement and knowledge about the Galapagos Islands with us.
He took his time and allowed us to enjoy every moment of the tour. There were only 3 of us on the tour, so we were very lucky it wasn't cancelled. We later learned that the minimum is usually 4, but Byron from Galapagos a la Carte has an agreement that his clients' tours will not be cancelled, even if the minimum requirement is not met. Just one more reason to book with Galapagos a la Carte!
The scenery along the coast of San Cristobal Island was amazing and the snorkeling was great. The views and wildlife on Punta Pitt were incredible.
This was our first tour in Galapagos - what a great way to start off our expedition!

I doubt I would need more than that
360 trip zips you around it
Impressive but we got no geology so it was just the end of the island and then Darwin’s window
Not a bad tour - long day but we did get to snorkel at kicker rock

The walk up the hill is quite strenuous but should be within the abilities of most. The views from the top reward. There is a decent amount of wildlife to be seen

Unfortunately if you are on 360 tour you can admire Punta Pitt just from the boat. Also the stop here was quite short. I wish we could spend more time there. You can see blue and red footed boobies and Nazca boobies or frigate. It can be great spot for snorkeling. Nearby we could see playful dolphins.

We had a guide who took us on a nature walk up to the very top of the hill to arrive at the most eastern point of the Galapagos Island. At points the climb was steep so good walking shoes are advisable. We walked past many courting Boobies couple some already have their eggs. It’s probably the closest we have been to them so some great photo opportunities. The views at the top were quite stunning looking back down to the golden sandy beach.

Blue footed booby was nesting with three eggs near the path. Numerous blue footed boobies. First sighting of red footed boobies. Iguanas were nesting in a sand pit. Beautiful landscapes.

We stopped here for an afternoon hike and swim and thoroughly enjoyed it. The afternoon was quite warm but the hike was not very demanding. We saw all three species of boobies and other birds and the vistas were magnificent. We also took a very welcoming swim after the hot hike. We did not really snorkel here (although I think it is possible to do so), so I can't comment on that.

This peninsula is on the north shore of San Cristobal Island. Made from two volcanoes with lava flows down to a pristine beach. From the beach there is a long walk after a steep path that runs through black lava rocks. The peaks and valley's are an interesting geological marvel. Wear very good shoes for this hike!
