Will see one of the largest/widest craters in the world. Looks like a big black lake. If you're not in decent shape for walking several miles up and down then this isn't the trip for you. No bathrooms along the trail either. Worth the trip....More

I think the only option to do it is through a tour agency. Expect to pay 35 usd for the tour, including a lunch box. It takes about 5 hours. The viwes are amazing.

There are not too many possibilities for hiking in Galapagos. Sierra Negra is a simple, guided hike to a nice active volcano.

This is a nice trip where you will get to see some great views of the island and also get to walk in moon-like areas around the volcano.
