Quaint little town

When you end your walk on the Lungo Mare, you end at Volosko. There are a few cafes with coffee, etc and would be a laid back place to people watch or catch up with friends.

My husband and I visited Volosko when we walked the northern portion of the Lungo Mare while staying Ii Opatija. The northern portion is where many of the spas were located in the old days. It does not have the charm of the southern portion as there are fewer trees and more stone walls bordering the walk. When we reached... More

Volosko is a nice fishermen village neighbouring the town of Opatija. In fact there is no break between the urban areas of both localities to such an extent that if attention is not paid one may think they are a single urban unit, Volosko buildings being the first ones which are seen when going from Rijeka to Opatija. On Volosko... More

Lovely little village at top end of the Lungomare. Several bars and cafes to while away some time watching the boats and admiring the scenery. Can pick up water taxi from here but check price first ax can be expensive. They don't seem to have a specific timetable but the waiters in the bar will try and find out when... More

To find the genuine Croatian non turistic atmosphere, you just need to walk for a few minutes along the shore, passing Opatija. Here just at the harbour you can watch the ball game in the water or when it gets too exciting turn to face the relaxing view of people playing cards in the restaurant close by. People are friendly,... More

Although not really a fishing village, this quaint town features narrow streets, a small church, harbor, and even water soccer area. We walked from Opatija and lunched at Moho while people watching. Pleasant destination after a pleasant walk.

My most favorite place around the shore. Quiet and calm, charming of sea and small houses with red rooftops, villas and restaurants. People enjoy life here and do not speed up their lives. Meet the sunrise listening to the sea and bells of St. Ana church is an unforgettable memories!
