I think that for the most part this memorial is respectful. I like that they included an artifact from the Twin Towers, a statue of a German Shepherd, and a wreath as well as the statues of a fireman and policeman. But there are four framed pictures at the feet of one of the statues. The frames are cracked and the photos are wet. I don't know if the photos are part of the original memorial. But I think the photos should be put somewhere that is protected.

You have to stop at this and pay respects for a few moments on your trek down the boardwalk. The first responder community appreciates it.

A small but powerful memorial to our brave first responders. It is right on the boardwalk, so it is easy to walk a few steps over to the statues of a police officer, a K9, and a firefighter. The granite monuments immediately brought to mind the Twin Towers and the bravery of the first responders who ran TOWARDS the burning towers to save those running FROM the danger.

What a nice memorial. Pieces of metal from the twin towers have been used. Even being on the boardwalk, there is a peace and quietness.

What a nice surprise to find while walking down the boardwalk. Nice easy stop to take a second to pay respect to fallen fire and police. I love that they also included a German Shepherd in their memorial.

We were very happy to see this new memorial. It is right on boardwalk so everyone can enjoy. We feel it is important to honor the sacrifices made and have memorials like this. Beautiful sculptures.
