It's well kept, they have free tours, beautiful grounds and vegetation, a small art museum, and monument to El Libertador. It's historical significance adds to the enjoyment.

Simon Bolivar died in the hacienda in 1830. The old hacienda and carriage house are in excellent condition and interesting to view. There is a new area of art galleries and a performance amphitheater.
