This was a part of a ship's tour. It was the highlight to see how people lived during the times of the reunification in South America. A nice tribute to Simon Bolivar as well since he did in this place in 1830

Fascinating history of Simon Bolivar who died here, but much quipment missing, restoration average, though the residence and furniture quite accurate as to the era

Walking around an observe the historic about the life of the past. You can walk trough the buildings with nice paintings and furniture. The gardens ,flora and fauna is fantastic.

Old Quintana where Bolivar died. Too bad none of the told functioning equipment for processing sugar cane and fermenting rum exists. Some of the told trees have died and have not been properly pruned. The rose garden in the surrounding botanical garden had zero roses....More

It is a lovely place... Surrounded by lush centenary trees that will shelter your walk as you are transported back to the times of the independence. Teens from a local high school vulnerable to aid you with your tour to the last of Bolívar's hours...More

Went at the weekend and the art museum area all closed. Botanical gardens are a complete rundown mess - nothing worth looking at - not irrigated and completely neglected. Absolutely terrible. That only leaves a very small area to look around and certainly not worth...More

Walked here from our hotel. Quite interesting place. Good gardens with very big iguanas. Simon Bolivar is everywhere and this is the place where he died.
