Came all the way from Scotland with family and wasn't disappointed. We were aware of the history from the moment we entered, walls lined with guitars, memorabilia and images of the greats who had previously played here. The atmosphere was immense and it certainly hasn't lost its authenticity. Yes no frills but that's what makes you love it even more.

I went to dance to some rock and roll but the black bouncer showed me the door for no apparent reason ,he never identified himself even when asked. I thought we lived in a country were we can express ourselves with music and dance, I guess not...

Have been here many many times in the last decade or so..... The Stone Pony is the one of the last of an era.... Have seen all sorts of live music here, some famous, some local. Its definitely a small bar so plan on it being crowded and live if youre there to see a big name. The sound is... More

You can feel the history of this venue from the second you step in the door. Its walls are lined with guitars signed by the plethora of artists who have played here over the years. However, this is a no frills venue. The bathrooms are ancient and it isn't pretty, but I can appreciate how it can be opened up... More

The Pony is an iconic music venue, and bar at the New Jersey beach town of Asbury Park. The town had been hit by hard times but by the likes of celebrities like Bruce Springsteen, Southside Johnny, Antony Bourdain, and many more who won't let this old girl go down without a fight is making a comeback! Also the young... More

This place feels like music history. We showed up on a day when nothing was going on. No shows, no drink service, however, they let us walk right in and roam around the rooms. You'll see all the autographed guitars including Patti Smith, John Bon Jovi, Bruce Springstein and many many more. Right across the street from the Asbury Park... More

Back in the day we used to call this the Stoned Pony. I remember a lot of talk about how this land mark of rock and roll wasn't going to survive. The surrounding Asbury Park was a mess, etc. etc. etc. But the Stone Pony became a part of and helped to lead the Asbury Park renaissance. The summer concert... More

Love the ambiance and great bands. Even just going in to buy t-shirts off hours was fun. We got a preview of the band scheduled for the night and a history lesson along with our purchase!

The sound system was excellent. The security and check in was very organized. Plenty of beverages were available for purchase. One problem that I had is that the sound stage was set up facing towards the ocean (east) so as the sun was setting...it was hard to see the stage with the glaring sun. It was the first time I'd...
