About
This sprawling nature reserve covering almost 40 acres is located on top of a hill just outside Medellín. It's a popular place for picnics and has plenty of nature trails for hiking or cycling. An experienced tour guide will be able to point out endemic species like butterflies and orchids amidst the lush forest. Don't forget to pop by the local market—which is at its most bustling on the weekends—to find local produce, handicrafts, and souvenirs. While you can drive there, one of the most scenic ways to get there is to ride Medellin's Metrocable L Line, which requires a separate ticket from the standard metro line. – Tripadvisor

    Arvi park
Arví park is in Medellín city and it is a beautiful place, where you can do many activities. For example, tours in the forest, walk throuhg the permitted paths or with a official guide. In the route, you can see animals, a lot of plants, creeks or lakes and differents structures: bridges of wood and old houses with their stories. There were myths and legends about the zone, for example, whitches in the trees. There were a lot of restaurants and small places on the street to eat: "obleas" with a lot of arequipe, typical food and others. Also, there was a private park of Comfama with activities of aventure: garrucha and others attractions. The transport is cery interesting, I went in Metro cable, is very popular in the city and it is very cool. I went with may family, we had lunch and walked for all the park. It was a good moment together. I had a lot of fun.

    Safe, Peaceful and great food.
If you want to relax and enjoy nature go to Arvi natural reserve. Bring a rain Jacket just in case it rains. There is plenty of food. The sost ranges beteen 4.000 to 30.000 pesos. The ticket cost 50.000 pesos per person and the metrocable trip to the park is 25.000 pesos. The cost to use the bathroon is 1.000 pesos. Unless you buy the ticket entrance. The park offers different guided tours in addition to the regular one that include the entrace to the park. Enjoy the beauty and live in Arvi Natural Reseve.

    Beautiful hiking
Getting here is half the fun. You take a gondola ride to the end of the metro, and then you have to purchase a new ticket for a special gun to let you go here. There are not views of the city from here, but it is beautiful with many trees. You have to pay to go on a forest walk, but it was beautiful and we really enjoyed it. We went in the late afternoon shortly before closing, and it was not very crowded. If you want to get a break from the city, I recommend this place to go, plus you get great views of the city as you ride up the gondola.

parque arvi is totally worth it.
We did the cycling tour, ciclada silletera, guided by Carlos 1 & Carlos 2. We had a great time. On the day of our reservation, the tour was cancelled due to rain. We were invited to come back anytime. It was totally worth the ride to Parque Arvi twice. i would recommend going by metrocable. It's a great experience, and much shorter than going by car.

    A Beautiful Area
We stayed in Laureles and opted to take an Uber to Acevedo station. Even with traffic, it took less than 30 minutes and cost less than $8. It was worth it to avoid switching trains TWICE to get there. Be warned there is not much signage and it was a little tricky to identify the right platform and area to get the cable car to Parque Arvi. Also we didn't realize there were a couple of stops between Acevedo and the final stop for the parque. The cable car ride was great. Our car emptied out for the last leg and the views were fantastic. Got some beautiful pictures. Once we reached the parque we discovered the guided tours were Spanish only - our Spanish is not good enough for that. LOL So we opted for the self guided tour. You pay a small fee and a staff member unlocks a gate to admit you to a hiking path. Not much in bloom when we visited but still enjoyed the hike. We were early and it wasn't crowded. That was good - many sections are quite narrow. Some sections are a bit steep. We spent about an hour and half on the shortest trail. Stopping to take pictures or sit in some areas. Well worth a visit. If you're not up for the hike, go for the cable car ride!

Wicked cabel car, have a head for hights though
I wasn't expecting the cabel to be as long as it was. It was amzing. As you travel up over the houses you get an incredible view of the city. You can have a little walk about at Santa Domingo station but keep your wits about you. Then as you go over the tree tops at the top of the mountain you tarvel over the florest for another 10 mins or so. It was like going over Jurrasic park. I don't really have a head for hights and I was nervous but I was still amazed during the jounrey and my friends loved it. The park itself is well organized with little food stalls and trincets as you arrive, but further on just round the corner after you pay to enter the park there is a man selling hot dogs an burgers and they looked better than the little things i got at the front. We did a self-tour, which was fine for us. We saw lots of plants we've never seen and the root system covering most of the floor was trippy. As a day our I would highly recommend this. You will not forget it.

    Amazing nature oasis
This is an amazing opportunity for the entire family to escape the busyness of the big city pase. It provided us an opportunity to enjoy the peace and tranquility of being surrounded by the beauty and harmony of Mother nature. You're surrounded by waterfalls, nature trails , park activities, and extreme sports if you desire. I highly recommend this evolution!

Frequently top rated in my view not worth the time to go there…today the metro cable not operational so park closed- no guides- they sold us tickets for a self guided tour of a 4 km trail. The orchid and flower enclaves were locked even tho we were told they were available to visit . On the way basic foliage no flowers a couple of man made figures. Then our luck ran out and we got soaked..!! I have visited many other parks with better plant life, signage and service. Not worth the effort.
