We had a room at the riverside, and since there are no windows, you hear the river at night. Despite that, we hardly ever slept better! It is so cool to wake up and hear and sea the jungle wake up. Food really is ok, staff is friendly and there is plenty to do; rafting, canopy, swim in the river,... More

I would give this place a 4 star rating except for two points. For an ecologically oriented establishment, it only has small plastic bottles for potable water. In this day and age it is really simple to filter your water. The real kicker is when they returned our 100 mil deposit one of the 50 mil bills was counterfeit. I... More

This park about six hours from Medellin offers accommodation, a pool, restaurants, bush walks, birdlife and caving. Well worth a daytrip or overnighter. Try to avoid holiday times as it tends to get somewhat busy. The caving is an experience - best you are able to swim. Pool is great to chill out. Restaurant food was a little predictable but... Great place set in the jungle. Hikes, rock climbing, zip line, rafting, cool hike along and through river and in cave.  Cabañas are 90,000, 110,000 or 120,000 which include all meals.  Pretty good deal. Some tips; Bring a flashlight as there are no lights along the path from the cabañas to the dining room. Even better if it's waterproof for... More

My friends and I stayed here for 3 days and enjoyed our trip overall. We took a bus from Medellin (3.5 hours) and asked to be dropped off at the reserve. It's about a 20 minute walk from the highway to the reception, and then about another 10 minutes to get to El Refugio lodge. The river was clear the... More

This place was the highlight of our trip, It's about 3 hours away from Medellin but worth it. The night before it had rained so the river was murky but it was still good. The water is not too cold and it was a lot of fun. They have 2 places where you can jump into the river from about... More

This is a stunning place where you feel like traveling to an unexplore land. Variety of animals, birds, butterflies and activities to do. An eco-friendly environment suitable for the whole family, however you better keep an eye on the kids as trails go along with the river and are about 4 meters over the water and rocks. Beautiful and exotic... More

Rio Claro is perfect for swimming and oudoor activities. It's possible to have guided tours to the caves and also multi-day kayak trips. The food is included and nothing special, but eatable and the service is fast. A plus for the administration, they are very professional. When we were there, there was a problem with the electricity, so even at... More
