The cable car was awesome- views of the whole city. It was a bit confusing because you had to jump on and off several times, as well as pay to go up and down. I definitely recommend buying a metro pass or see if theres something easier. cool markets and walking trails up top in the park

Do it even if only just for the views - the best way to see the absolute stunning sprawl of Medellín. You can take the metro (train) to Acevedo station then transfer up to the cable car (yellow line on the map) which will take you to Santa Domingo. Separate small fare to Park Arvi which is an easy transfer.... More

I'm not sure I would say that this is a must do while you are in Medellin but it does give a good view out over the city and it's cool that it's included in the price of a standard Metro ticket. Something a little bit different but not as essential addition to your trip!

Must to go while in Medellin. Be prepared for long lines in high seasons! If you are expecting to go to the Spain Library unfortunately is being refurbished

We rode up to get a sky view of the city. The cars were clean and smelled fresh. The attendant were very helpful. The prices were ok.

The Metrocable in Medellin provides an excellent view of the city, it is clean and in good condition, the cost is very reasonable, but expect to pay a little more if you want to ride it all the way up to Parque Arvi. If it is a clear day, it is well spent taking the Metrocable and you camera, and... More

This reminded me of the cable car rides at theme parks like Busch Gardens and Kings Dominion. It took a little getting used to since you sort of have to jump on & off as it does not stop like theme park rides. We took the metro but it started to pour down rain so we hung out for only... More

Locals take the Metrocable every single day but fir tourists it's a must see. It's affordable and you'll get to see different parts of the city.

Have taken the metrocable a couple of times, once on my first trip to Medellin 10 or so years ago and then again last fall when I took my son to Medellin. The ride was enjoyable for the view and easy to access.
