We really enjoyed the cable cart. Amazing stunning views of the real medillin towns. Spray paint and artwork all over the towns. When we got to the top we wandered the park for a couple of hours and had some lunch at the markets. It...More

The funny story of this cable car system goes back to an ugly baby being born in a hospital and as 'legend' tells it, the baby responded with "I'm not as ugly as the cable car." Nowadays, this system of transport is the prized possession...More

I took the metro cable up to parque Arvi but the weather was very bad, I couldn't walk around. I can assure you the ride itself is fun, and spectacular. You can see all Medellin from above and you will pass through a huge forest,...More

The metrocable has some new destinations. We took it to Parque Arvi which was very entertaining. The ride took about 20 minutes. During the ride you feel as if you’re over the Colombian jungle. You forget that you’re in a city. All you see below...More

The transformation of what used to be some of the worst city slums in the country into thriving working class neighborhoods due to efficient, economical, and safe public transportation is truly amazing.

There are no cheaper thrills than a ride on Medellin Metro Cable as it soars high above the city and comunas, then climbs up mountain to Parque Arvi. One of wonders of the world.

So awesome! It’s an inexpensive way to see the city. Make sure to go to Arvi Park at the top, it’s a beautiful ride. We brought a picnic and walked along the few free walkways. And bring a sweater, it gets chilly up there.

Touring the city via metrocable was awesome. Being above the city provides a wonderful view of the mountains and the city below. The system is extremely clean, organized, and efficient. Well worth it

The taxi rates from the Jose Maria Cordova airport in Rio Negro (MDE, the international airport) are fixed and posted by the exit. Cost us 65,000 COP (approx $22 US) and is about a 45 min ride.

Walk to the El Poblado Metro train (straight down Calle 10 to the river) and head north towards Niquia. You're going to want to get off at Acevedo, and from here it is an easy transfer to the Metro Cable. The first line... More
