This is linked into the Metro system and when you purchase a ticket for the metro you can ride around as much as you like until you leave the system for 2,300 pesos. It is the transport system for the locals. We took the Metrocable...More

I highly recommend taking the metrocable up to parque arvi! You get an incredible view of the city! The ride is very cheap and a comfortable ride.

After visiting Commune 13, my wife and I took the Metrocable from San Javier station, up over El Moro and down into Santa Margarita, then a wildly driven"collectivo bus back to El Poblado. Wonderful city views and a safe and enjoyable ride.

Both the metro and cable cars are safe and clean. The views from the cable cars were amazing - really a great visual perspective of the entire city and at times a close-up look at how the poorer residents live further in the hills.

The taxi rates from the Jose Maria Cordova airport in Rio Negro (MDE, the international airport) are fixed and posted by the exit. Cost us 65,000 COP (approx $22 US) and is about a 45 min ride.

Walk to the El Poblado Metro train (straight down Calle 10 to the river) and head north towards Niquia. You're going to want to get off at Acevedo, and from here it is an easy transfer to the Metro Cable. The first line... More
