Get some empanadas and/or buñelos and walk around looking at the Botero sculptures and visit the museum!

Although it is a nice place to go be aware it is in down town where anything is possible. Beware of pick pocket prostitutes will come to you if you are alone. Best time to go there is in the morning and be out there...More

The plaza along with the art and museum were both very enjoyable We spent as much time outside the museum as we did inside. Great for photos and people watching

I'm not an expert in arts, so please don't be mad, if I use the word funny for the botero sculptures, but most of them simply are due their disproportioned bodies. Not a must though.

What an scary place it is. Robbers, prostitutes, an unhealthy place. Trash everywhere. I was afraid of every person. If you want to attend. Arrive in the morning.

Few people speak English in Medellin, or Colombia for that matter. One of the telecomms, UNE, sells USB wireless keys to access the Internet. When I checked last year, the key cost COP 50,000 and access was COP60,000/month.
