This is a really famous place to visit. You would see people taking photos everywhere. You won't spend much time there, but las gorditas are super famous and you should take a photo with a few!

The area has 18 sculptures by Botero and they are beautiful. There is also a museum in the area. You should definitely take a free walking tour of the Real City Tours. I wouldn't recommend this place if you don't like big crowds.

20 some odd statues in plaza Botero. Lots of police presence as well as vendors. Near train station.

The staues are amazing, but the overall area doesn't have a very safe feeling for a tourist. Many questionable characters walking around and many homeless people around. Would recomment going with a local person.

Few people speak English in Medellin, or Colombia for that matter. One of the telecomms, UNE, sells USB wireless keys to access the Internet. When I checked last year, the key cost COP 50,000 and access was COP60,000/month.
