Has restaurants outside the church in the plaza and is nice and quiet through the day. But at night, it all livens up to music, bars and entertainment as well as eating!

Beautiful area with lots of trees in this part of the walled in area of town. The church of St. Peter is worth a peek inside, while the streets are alive with good eats and shops.

breathtaking architecture, sad that it isn't being restored. It reminded me of Lima in that respect.

It is a great place with a large plaza where you can find the "negritas" black african women that wear colorful dresses and a fruit basket on their heads, they look so beautiful. You can also find a Botero sculpture in the plaza. A nice spot to take pictures

This is definitively a must do in Cartagena. There is an excellent Italian restaurant with very good prices. There are street dancers in the evenings, and the general atmosphere is fun and enjoyable. Would especially recommend in the evenings. The church has a surprisingly simple architecture for South America.

The Plaza was awesome, very lively. So many things to be seen in walking distance. There's shops, restaurants, bars and parks that get filled with entertainers at night. A few of the streets are blocked off for pedestrians to walk around. Definitely something I suggest checking out.

The wrought iron sculptures welded together all tell a different story. The plaza is another charming area of the walled city. And the backdrop of the church makes you feel the Spanish and Catholic history of the town.
