We should have gone to Claudia first as she came highly recommended by a friend. After spending our first day with a different tour guide, who took us around the walled city and to La Boquilla, we booked Claudia for a city tour. She was extremely knowledgable and had strong English with a subtle accent (making it easier for my son to understand than our previous guide who had a heavy accent). We were hoping to gain an understanding of the history of the area and its development and we absolutely did. One thing to note is that she did not take us through the Castillo de san Felipe fort. This surprised our conscierge but we think it was fine because it was indeed hot and we spent over 3 hours with her touring other things. She gave us the history of the fort from inside our air conditioned car and we will return on our own one morning to enjoy climbing it. Note that her price was higher than our other guide but we think she was well worth it and extremely educational! If you are deciding between a walled old city our and this city tour, we would recommend doing this first and if you can only do one or the other, do this city tour and you'll get a taste of the walled city and can continue to explore it on your own.…

Highly recommend this private tour. Katy met our group of 8 at the Cruise ship dock as arranged. She and our driver Pilar made us comfortable in a clean, well maintained, air conditioned van. Katy was very engaging speaking about her country’s history and their culture. The tour included highlights around both the new and old city after starting at the monastery. The views from there are not to be missed. We extended our time past the original 4 hour tour and went to lunch at a local authentic Colombian cuisine restaurant and had them join us and assist in ordering specialties. Our day was complete. Food was all so delicious!…

We were on a cruise ship with a stop in Cartagena for one day. We booked a 4 hour tour online before the trip and all the corresponding with Claudia was quick and efficient, she reconfirmed our tour a few weeks before our arrival. Everything went according to plan to meet our tour guide and driver outside the terminal. Our guide was Julie and she was excellent. She spoke English very well, was very engaging and knowledgeable about the history and culture. The driver was excellent and the air conditioned car was clean and in excellent condition. Our tour included driving to some sights and walking in the old centre of town. We were pleased with our experience and recommend Claudia Vidal Tour.…

It was wonderful to meet Claudia and tour Cartagena. She meet us at the port and our outstanding tour began. By accident, we discovered she is also an author of children's books about Cartagena. She wants children to know about the city they live in. What a wonderful gift to share with her grandchildren. Who else better to have as a tour guide. We asked to stop by a bookstore be to able to purchase her book. The book is a great reminder of the history of Cartagena and the places we visited with her.…
