From visiting other mud volcans throughout the region I must say I had some issues with this location due to the touristy feeling when you arrive. Seems there could be better construction to hold back the mud in the bathing area. If you never been...More

I thought this was definitely a cool experience unlike anything you might ever do. There are a set of different people doing things for you - maseusse, photographer (with your camera), ladies that wash you after your mud submersion, and a man who cleans your...More

Unique and different experience: floating on mud, receiving a massage without asking and then aggressively wash by ladies, who take your clothes off to clean. No personal space at all. In spite of that, we had a great time with my teenagers. It is a...More

Surprising, one time violent but now accesible. Every body should visit once in life an active or inactive volcano... and finally inform himself how important they were or are to our planet preservation...

As you climb down the ladder into the mud, you have no idea what to expect. It looks like the mortar used in masonry construction. When you step off, it is as I imagine quicksand must be. You can’t swim, you move slowly, and the...More

The volcano is in a far away remote location, and there is no modern facilities or lockers there at all. The only real way to get there is by a tour bus, even trying to drive there would be virtually impossible to find!
