The band comes on around 23:30, so pace yourself with those drinks, as the dancing starts late. There is limited space for the band, so don't expect complex salsa music requiring too many musicians. Cocktails are very good- go for the aged rum mojito and you will not be dissapointed. Limited dance area, though, which is surprising for a salsa... More

At no fault to the place itself, the place is packed with want to be salsa dancers. I'm all for everyone having fun and enjoying themselves but there is not an equal mix of people. This place is full tourist. Positives are that the service was excellent and the selection of drinks plentiful. We tried the 8yo house rum. Not... More

This is my second time to Cartagena and prior to getting there I told all my friends I will dance here every night and that I did. From Wednesday night till Sunday night I got my Salsa and Son on dancing to some of the best orchestras I have ever danced to. From the person at the door to the... More

My husband and I went there twice, even if we don't know how to dance the salsa :) The live Cuban music is great, the drinks are good and most importantly the atmosphere there is amazing!! We arrived at 10pm before the band arrives, so the bar was quite empty - but at 11pm, it got packed and the hole... More

Great live cuban music, good drinks, attentive bartenders, but tight quarters on a Thursday night at 11:30 when we went. Was our last stop in Cartagena and glad we made it in, but was only worth hanging out for 30-45 minutes as it was packed and HOT.

So we actually extended our stay in Cartagena just to have a chance to visit this spot we had heard so much about as its only open Wed-Sun. If you are interested in seeing tourists attempt to salsa while standing in front of you blocking your view of the band, then this is the place. Drinks were overpriced and not... More

great old traditional bar with a great music band. Interesting mixed crowd, not much space for dancing, but great atmosphere, mixing locals and some tourists. If you come with a small group and stay deep in the night, get a half or full bottle of rum !

Great night out in Cartagena although like anything else around town it was a bit overpriced for those on a tighter budget. $20000 cover charge (includes 2 drinks) and drinks about $8000 pesos each. Great live band, awesome dancing! Doesn't kick off til after midnight but worth the wait!
