This a well known and visited spot in Cali, because it has lots of interesting activities for visitors, there is trekking at all levels, there is birding, swimming, bike riding, etc. The best part is probably the beautiful scenery you will find along the trails.

Breathtaking hiking in lush jungles along the raging Pance. Great spots for swimming/cold plunging. Fascinating birds and butterflies. Travel midweek is best to avoid the crowds. The deeper in off the beaten path one goes, the better it gets. Spectacular views of the gigormous andean...More

Frio!! Tremendo experencia. A must-visit!! You get to see 'untouched' nature. It is well preserved, safe to walk alongside or to swim in it.

This is a popular weekend destination for middle to lower class families. The river is very shallow and on holiday weekends it is wall to wall people with all the attendant trash. Parking is nearly impossible and traffic on those weekends is horrendous.

You can get there by bus, taxi cab or uber. I'd suggest taxi asked by phone, or using a taxi app. If you take from the south of the city is not expensive.
