This appears to be an iconic symbol of Cali and worth visiting. Makes a lovely stroll and you are shaded from the sun under the trees. I went twice. Nicer on a weekend afternoon when it was busy, had a cool atmosphere with some handicraft stalls too. The second time I went on a Tuesday afternoon, it was quiet and it felt isolated. There is a story behind each cat, but information boards are in Spanish. I had a guide with me the second time I went so it was very interesting when he explained this to me. Otherwise you will just look at cat statues!

So far this park has topped my list of places I've enjoyed in Cali. The Gato del Río is a sight to see especially if you've seen how he has become a symbol of the city, but what makes this park so interesting is the collection of sculptures of female cats displaying their personalities. If you don't know Spanish, finding a way to translate the signs accompanying the female cats will be worth your effort. There's plenty of humor and social insight to be found here, most of it in a whimsical sort of way.

This cat park is so cool and original. It was a lot of fun see all the cat sculptures with their unique designs. And the location (riverside park) was outstanding. My only comment is that I wish it that the description signs for each cat had English translations.

Cute little park alongside the river that you can leisurely stroll through admiring the different cat statues. Some are different like the Tejada one at the beginning but most are the same and then interpreted differently by each artist for a nice way to compare and contrast your favourites. The flora and fauna is also really lovely as is the bird watching section at the end of the walkway. Free and open to the public to enjoy!

Why doesn’t the cats have the descriptions in English too??... if Cali wants more tourism, it is very important to have these descriptions in English and maybe even more languages..

It only takes a few minutes to walk through this riverside park to enjoy the variously painted cat statues. Each is done in a different style and a placard in Spanish describes the intent of the artist. Like in any museum there will be some you love and other not so much.

This area is having a lot of cats made by different artists. It is an opened area, which means you can visit it any time.

As a car lover I had to go visit this park when I heard about it. All these beautiful whimsical larger than life cat sculptures! The park itself could be prettier and it’s near a very busy road but I love the sculptures.

If you're nearby, take a stroll along the rio to see this art installation of a dozen or so interesting and very different cats (gatos). It is colorful and intriguing.

This is an awesome place right over the river with bridges to walk to several other venues of interest. I love the oversized Mascotes!
Nice to see it lit up during the Feria de Cali in December!
