Take your time and check out the many overlooks into the canyon.

Road is fairly maintained and there are a number of villages to find food and drink along the route.

Great way to spend a half day in the country.

Took the trek from Bucaramanga to experience the park. Travel time to the park was 90 minutes. Decided to go on a Thursday, hoping there would be less people, and I got it right. It was almost empty which made everything available without any waits. There are multiple ticket options which I feel are a little confusing, so we went for the total package which was priced at 66,000 pesos per person.
After entering the park there are a variety of restaurants and small local shops for souvenirs.
We began by taking the cable car ride. Probable one of the longer rides in the world. There was no wait, and we went straight on. The views going up from the car are spectacular!
At the top, again there are more restaurants, and shops, so food and drink is always available.
The food was ok, and priced fairly. We tried a few Artisanal beers that were very good.
After speaking a few hours up top, we headed down to the zip line course. I am a little bit of a baby but wanted to try it. Tickets are priced at an extra 27,000 pesos per person.
The ride is great. I felt scared which was okay, but thoroughly enjoyed the thrill. It is only short but very fast, and the views below you are incredible. My only negative comment is that it is impossible to video or take photos as the ride is double lively!
We then visited the pool area which was beautiful and views surrounding it were to die for.
The park is a magnificent venue to take children. The cost can obviously increase with the more you do, but I feel this is a great family day out.
Would certainly recommend going midweek as I believe that the weekend gets crazy busy! Going on a Thursday was just perfect. Not a place you really need to revisit, it highly recommended for a day trip.

It is a beautiful experience, to be able to go from one end of the canyon to the next in 25 min cable ride. The park itself is well maintained, There are some nice stops along the way, while you admire the canon from different places. There are some 'adventures' that you can pay for, we went for the extreme swing, we all LOVED it. The time of the year we went though: there were moscas EVERYWHERE, it was quite annoying, but not much we could do about that. The Aquapark was ok, not great: there isn't a 'real pool' but rather 2 big slides, a lazy river, and a kids area: my kids happily spent half a day in there, but that's as far as I would go, somehow I imagined it bigger, and thought of going to the pool for 2 consecutive days (It's really hot there) but half a day was more than enough. It is without question a once in a lifetime experience

Great and clean facilities. A lot to see with varieties of shops and places to eat. The cable car ride was splendid, exciting and great panoramic view.

This is a must see on a visit to Santander. It is known as their "Grand Canyon" and does not disappoint. The cable car ride is about 3 miles and is the longest in the world! It takes you from one mountain top across the Chicamocha River Valley to the mountain on the other side. The swing is and espectacular ride and breathtaking views!

There is a monument on the top that depicts the life and struggle of the people during the 1781 revolution. A sound presentation is played in both Spanish and English to explain the monument.

There are many places to eat, rest, shop for gifts, and a museum. There is a 450m zip line and many other activities. I enjoyed the park overall. Be prepared to walk a lot but it is worth it!!!

I bought a bus ticket to Panachi via Bucaramanga main bus terminal (you cannot walk there, you must take a taxi). We stopped here and there in Floridablanca and eventually drove way up in the mountains. Around one curve at 70 kph this parque emerged suddenly, the driver said nothing, neither did I, and so we passed it just like nothing happened. I went to San Gil and had a little adventure. Then finally a got a taxi in San Gil to their bus station and rode back to Bucaramanga. The bus trip was the best thing. The Andes are indeed grande and marivillosa. I looked down on Panachi from the road on the way back and there was 4 or 5 people walking around, could not see a cable car in action, and I think I had the better trip. It is not like the Grand Canyon in America. Go to San Gil.

One you are in Santander, and particularly nearby “La Mesa de los Santos” you most visit el Paque de Chicamocha! You can do various activities as walking through the park, ride the “telesférico” and do the “cable vuelo” known as Canopy also.

This is a must see park if you are in Santander and in this area. You can either get here by car or cable car. I would strongly recommend the cable car. You not only get to see the marvelous engineering in the construction of this cable car, but also beautiful scenery.
It will take you about 22 minutes from the entrance to the park.
There is a cost associated with the park and it can vary from $15-18 dollars (depending on the dollar price at the moment) and also wether or not you want to visit the Water park.
There is a lot of walking to do, make sure you have water, a good camera and most important a Great attitude. You will find restaurants, shops and you will also have the opportunity to buy Organic coffee.
There are activities to do inside the park. Zip lining, you can climb down a water rock about 140 ft, there is also a swing. They all have different prices, but averaging $7-10 dollars. There is also a lot of history.
Temperature was about in the 80s and I was told it is always hot. So, I would recommend to do some research about the temperature if you don’t like hot weather.
I hope you visit and enjoy it.

It is a beautiful park with amazing views. If you are in Bucaramanga and have time, I highly recommend to visit. You can walk a little bit, you can eat, have coffee, enjoy amazing views, and take some pictures. The Parks' Cable Car probably is one of the longest aerial tramways in the world.
