Since I came to Ningbo I always wanted to visit this place, the entrance is 30rmb and it is not very far from the city center. You can either go by bus or by taxi(which I suggest). Once entered I did not expect tianyi ge to be like that, you will find many small spaces, which shows you the history of... More

So locals tell me it's the oldest library in China, I do know that it is older than any I have been to. We went on a rainy day which meant hardly anyone was there, absolutely brilliant! We explored the complex for around 2 hours, my sons enjoying the bridges and pathways. If you are planning on coming to this... More

Ningbo doesn't have very much to offer a foreign tourist, unfortunately, so this is the number one place to come, at least according to TA. I did quite enjoy the gardens, and it's nice to go into some of the rooms which once may have housed some important literary works, but there was little to hold my attention or provoke... More

The garden is ok but no access to the place. If you like to have a walk or see trees, quite a nice area to go.

Tianyige is located in the middle of the town, but it is surprisingly quiet. With many ancient artificials, it will be a good place for a Family to spend afternoon, especially for those with kids

It has a nice traditional Chinese garden. The building itself is worth spending some time studying. The collection is old and uninteresting unless you're into calligraphy.

I'm not much of a person who is into museums as I get bored very quickly. There are several rooms showcasing books and artifacts along with stories on the walls telling about the place and the man who owned the library "Fan Qin." The best part of being there for me was the gardens and the ponds. They are so... More

This library will take you away for one hour into what looks like 19th century china. The gardens are pleasant. A nice place to have a stroll if you have an hour's time.
