I visited during the Chinese New Year so it was packed and we had to park far away. I ended up with blisters, but it was so worth it to learn about archetecture and ancient China.

This temple is very similar to other ones. The big difference is its beautiful location and a huge area which this temple covers. There is a lot of room for walking, resting. A lot of plants nice flowers. One element not seen by me in...More

The claim to fame for this ancient temple is that there is not a single nail in the construction of the entire building. While it's no longer a working temple any more, they have research labs on site where renowned scholars study the construction to...More

A nice wooded area on a hillside not too far out of town. It was a warm day when we visited, but alot of trees and some pavilions help provide shade. The Temple stretches back to the Song Dynasty, with additions and renovations over the...More

Very old temple, cool to see the woodwork, lots of exhibitions to show how it was constructed. Besides the temple, it's a nice place to go for a hike and lots of great spots to take photos. The 20 kuai ticket is well worth it.

I don't recall much for lodging (nodding off on the ride) but you can probably find a home stay or something if speak Chinese. It's not that far outside Ningbo city though.
