Never short of shopping malls in the tourist area of Chengdu new development of the city. If you need a break from hotels it’s nice to take a stroll and just work around. Plenty of food venues and malls around, embrace the busy streets.

Our hotel was right next door and the Chicony Mall was alive and teeming with people. It was Christmas time so the lights were out and it was all decorated nicely and it was actually quite nice. The mall however was just ok with some decent brands for my wife but she didn’t care much for the place. She saw some jewelry there but they didn’t have exactly what she was looking for. Every time we would head back to our hotel, we’d stop by just to look at the scenery. If it wasn’t Christmas time, we’d perhaps just look once and not even bother.
