Certainly it delineates a sense of at the performing arts centre or a stadium where authentic opera were performed! There are exhibitions of La Traviatta, Madame Butterfly, and so forth! It was amazing! The illuminated stages also created a great sense of love from the...More

If you want the real experience, go to the early afternoon shows reserved for Chinese senior citizens. You need to show up early or even a day earlier to purchase tickets, but you can always kill time having tea in the old teahouse where the...More

Its a small theater, adjoining a tea house. We were served tea in the teahouse (cafeteria setting) , then seated to watch an amazing spectacle. Extremely colorful characters, wearing outrageous costumes and telling different stories or performing a variety of acrobatic acts. The story lines...More

If money is not an issue and you're keen to see a Chinese spectacle then the Sichuan opera could possible be for you. Truth be told it's a bizarre set of skits in a rustic theatre offering everything from finger shadow puppets (probably the best...More

Cheapest places are 140rmb, but these places are not very good. Better take 180rmb places. We got free tea before and during the show and something to nibble on. The show was great. We got a mixture of opera, a comic sketsh, puppet performance, fingerplay...More

Everything about this show was rivetting. The female dancers were superbly elegant. The face changers were unbelievable.

This was one of the highlights of my trip. Even though we could not understand one word the performance was visually stunning and not too serious so it was very easy to enjoy with many funny moments. Even my 11 year old enjoyed this one.

The show was very good in average, the young dancer boys were a bit far from talent, but the main characters, costumes, make up, puppet show, lasers and the face changing in last episode was perfect. Cell phones should be avoided normally, which in this...More
