Visit during sunset so you can get a night view, and do try to go during sunny weather because the views are much better.

TV Tower is one of many towers you will see in China. You get sight of it from CBD area. Not worth visiting unless you like to get view of city from there.

If you have not so much time you can go there, is 5minutes walk from IFS (chunxi road), I went there in the evening which I think is even better couse you can see the city by night. I paid 50 yuan (student discount) but the average price is around 80 yuan. You can choose a lot of options, for... More

Nice little 2 hour activity. Walked from the Shangra-La hotel and easy to find along the river. I loved walking out on the glass platform and looking down. Nice restaurant on the tower. Surprising cool breeze on the observation decks. Very nice staff operating the tower. Met some nice Chinese people.

My Chinese friend and I went about an hour before Sunset and it was amazing to watch the sun lower down over the city. We stayed for a couple hours wandering around, taking pictures, playing the interactive video games (Kinect or Wii?). The view is stunning and really puts into perspective how large Chengdu is. I am from Seattle and... More

The observation tower at the top offers a great view of the Chengdu area. It has interactive activities. On the ground floor there are retail shops and good restaurants. Worth the trip!

It's a nice tower to go up. It's well designed and the elevator up is really fun! Once you're up there you get a free tea or coffee, which is nice. There are lots of observation platforms too. The only thing to make sure of is that you go when the pollution isn't too bad, or I can imagine you... More

Buy the dinner/lunch ticket for the revolving restaurant. I had the buffet lunch here and it was quite cool. Don't expect a western menu - the food was actually very good and there's plenty of tasty Sichuan treats to eat. Great spicy noodles - free flow beer and wine. After that you can go to the observation deck and walk... More
