Included on the itinerary of a two day trip to WeiHai. If you've been on a Chinese trip you'll understand the title! I read a little about the war before I went (Wikipedia) which was useful. My son and I visited this museum on a day trip from Dalian. We had previously visited war museums in Beijing (Wanping Fortress), Shenyang (9.18), Harbin (Unit 731), Changchun (Imperial Palace Museum), Lushun (East Crest Fortress & Warzhong Tomb), Shanghai (Battle of Shanghai) and Nanjing (Massacre Memorial). Worth a visit, tells events from both sides of war and signs in English as well, on the Island and easy to get around

Interesting Museum told from a Chinese point of view. Can not say too much about it as is not big and only takes about 1 hour to go through.

Signs in English! quite interesting as it talks about the first sino-japanese war which most foreigners didn't know about. best thing on Liu Gong Island
