Great place to learn some military history and about foreign presence in the area. It is much more visitor friendly than the first time I went.

liugong island was the navy base in Qing dynasty. there was a war between China and Japan. There is no doubt that Japan won because of the corruption of qing government. I just felt a bit sad about the men died in that war
