Built in 1903 by a German official as a hunting and fishing villa. There is a nice surrounding garden with many locals sketching the façade. Combines Roman and Gothic architectural styles. You can access several levels with good views out to sea and the coast. There is a swimming beach and boardwalk in front which is great to meander in... More

When you are strolling around the Badaguan Scenic Area, you will probably pass this old mansion. If it's not too busy it's worth stopping in for a gander, the ticket price is minimal, 8yuan I think. So worth a quick look. Takes less than an hour to walk around this mansion.

This place is beautiful! It's a step back in time as you see European architecture in a beautiful Chinese seaside setting. Check it out! It's worth the 8.5 yuan ticket.

This little 'castle' was built by a Russian where the rest of the Badaguan area is German. Many Russians came to China and stayed so interesting history. The turret at the top is nice to climb up to. Girls can play Rapunzel! Often many engaged couples in the courtyard getting their wedding photos done to display at the wedding. Clips... More

The mansion is nothing extraordinary for European standards but an interesting piece of assembled styles from several ages built in the early 20th century.

Definitely worth a look. Good sea views from the top of the turret. Small gift shop sells period postcard photos. Not as much history as the Governor's mansion, so if time is limited, you can easily skip the Huashi Villa. Surrounding Badaguan is pleasant to walk around and enjoy the architecture and trees.

When you near the beach from the Badaguan area, will see the Huashi Villa. Looks a bit like a castle. Guide told us built it was by Russian merchant. Courtyard of villa is rather small and not much to see, most people posing and taking photos. Inside smells like an old house. Some furniture is there, but not sure if... More

The villa itself is nothing much to look at (at least not if you are from a country where old buildings are present in abundance), and inside there are some more or less interesting old photos of historic Qingdao. However, the view from the top of the villa is stunning. Highly recommended just for that reason to pop in when... More

Yes, it is nice to see the view from the top deck but otherwise there is nothing here. The house is only about 85 years old but it has not been kept up at all. It should be restored and furnished to the period and then it would be a destination. Nothing educational about an empty house all painted over... More
