It's closed folks. Closed when I visited at 7pm on a Saturday evening. Both gates are locked and there are no lights except for the exterior lights at the top. It's nice to see the tower from the nearby lakes but one can't visit it and one is better heading towards the elegant MixxC Mall a few hundred meters south... More

As at end of May 2016 it was closed and unlikely to open in the foreseeable future. I'm told it didn't make any money. So, no one is interested in opening to the public. Great landmark and very tall when you get close. It's hard to imagine that this tower will be dwarfed by the new (strangely named) GFC tower... More

The tower looks amazing from the ground, and I think it would be amazing from the top but it is still closed. The park just nearby is very nice for a stroll.

Really great and worth a visit. Unfortunately closed again for construction. Call before you go to make sure it is open.

If you want to visit this impressive building, TV Tower, you can use subway line 1 from railway statio, or line 2 from north railway station... The best view of tower is in the night...

Great place to go - can get deals on wechat for entry cost but all cheap (ask on arrival). On a clear day you can see to Fushun! The outdoor viewing deck is great with free telescopes for use and signs for N,E,S AND W. Also a small gift shop and a revolving restaurant (pricey).

THIS is one of the most memorable places in my life, growing up here and passing the TV tower early everyday in 1994 when going to Kindergarden, every time when I look, it reminds me of the wonderful times as a child.

Good attraction to visit, I would advise to wait for a clear day otherwise you will not be able to see much. Great views of the city!!

Im glad my chinese friend insisted we go during the night time, bc the view was definitely worth it. However, that day was just so windy that it was annoying my time outside the top of the tower. On top of that, going back down required about 30min in line which was not that great either. I would not come... More

The TV Tower was boarded up when we visited in June and it looked as though it had been for a while.
