Lit up beautifully at night. Even though it was -4 degrees, there were plenty of locals about. There were skateboarders and dancers, as well as people just ambling through. We only had eyes for the statue and enjoyed getting our photo with Mao. Love its...More

There are not many oversized Mao Statues left in China so if you are in Shenyang make sure to head over to see the chairman and get a feel what communist propaganda felt like.
