Lots of lovely rides for the children, food stalls etc. The sea shore edge has a beach and a good view across to to the Xinghaiwan Bridge. This is a summer time venue. Its no fun out of season.

Nice place but overrated. It is a central square in Dalian with a lot going on around the place. Good to see once.

there are lots of rides and worth to visit. Nice view of the sea and the bridge and quite a number of restaurants in the area. I would recommend it.

In general, Dalian is a romantic place. XInghai park is one of Dalian attractions, it's beautiful, peaceful and clean (as long as not a holiday). I like going there for walking and sometimes jogging. It's also very good for meeting with friends who are looking for fun.

Xinghai Park is a must visit place when in Dalian. The huge park was lovey for strolling and relaxing with the side nearest the seaside best for just seating down to soak in the atmosphere, cool breeze, watching the seagulls (and people!) and just generally chilling-out.

Lots of activities for the young too as there's an amusement park near the seaside with rides and all the other usual stuff. Lots of sculptures, statues, flowers and other displays for your photo taking too.

I spent a very enjoyable and relaxing two hours or so there after lunch in the October sunshine and felt recharged after a tiring morning of sightseeing.

Perhaps it is biggest square in the world. Created rather crafted to make it kids friendly. You have sea, beach, boating, skating area, bronze statues, rides, good joints, cycling, walking, good views for sun rise, sun set, and more all at same place.

Walked through the park with the kids and enjoyed the ocean views and the wide open walkways. Lots of space and because it was a winter day not many people here. Nice ocean views along a broad boulevard on the ocean front. Fun for people watching as well.

This again is a very spacious park, by the beach, with many stones instead of sand. The buildings near by is all lit up after dark and one can see people dancing at this park with loud music, and anyone is free to join.

Dalian is a beautiful city of seven million with a great big park close to the downtown core. Xinghai Park features fantastic views of a bridge that's better than San Francisco's more famous one and two big sections dedicated to the big rides plus miles of beaches with restaurants and an enormous bungie jumping tower in the middle. And it's free. Dalian is a city that is greatly under-rated. What other city has a great beach like this so close to the downtown shopping area?!

Extremely spacious park, by the beach, with many stones instead of sand. (Yes you are allowed to pick the stones up and test your strength by throwing them into the water - watching how far the stone goes)

Visited this park at night. After local dinner time, locals start dancing at this park with loud music, and anyone is free to join. This is their form of after dinner exercise. It was great fun joining in.

Also the view overlooking a colourful lit up bridge at night is great. I would say, it's perfect for anyone, be it couples, solo, or in a family. Right by some amusement parks.
