The square is very nice for a walk, beautiful lights at night and there's a fountain show. Good place for family, old people organize dancing groups in the evening, lot of kites too. Sometimes you can see the horse riding women police patrolling the square.

Well cared for area, one of the better places in DaLian to visit. Great at night with the lights and fountains. During the day there are many people walking around and flying kites. There are a number of restaurants in and around the area. adjacent is a walk along the sea wall, with coffee shops, ice cream shops and children's... More

Very quiet and friendly environment for walking around and spend some quality time especially when traveling alone. The language barrier is a problem though if you cannot speak or understand Mandarin.

This is by far my favorite square in Dalian. In the winter, the fountain is decorated to welcome in the new year. There are fountain shows at night. The lawn is just beautiful and people are often flying kites..

During the warmer months, April-October, there is an automated fountain show in Peoples square with with sevrel shows each night. This show goes for half n hour and is an illuminated water show which is fun to see. Apart from this, the aunties usually gather around at 7 each night to perform square dancing in the square, with over 50... More
