This is a pretty tourist street with a Russian flare. Many of the buildings are quite old and there is some Russian style street art, Russian snacks and Russian style souvenirs. We know some of the shops have authentic goods but we think some of the items are inexpensive and locally made like the 8 yuan Russian nesting dolls that seemed to be forever nesting!

I would say the nicest people I've met in Dalian are in this area. Many welcoming shop owners were very welcoming. The Maria Cafe has a gentleman who learned to roast coffee in Taiwan and has original equipment which he will show you, has a very nice cat and will let you play his 100 year old Russian piano! Please note that the large majority of the shops sell similar items and they will offer to pour you a cup of beer while strolling around!

The art museum is worth a quick stop, is free to enter and has clean bathrooms!

Plan to spend an hour or two here. The 201 tram stops nearby and the Dalian Railway Station are also close to here.

Though not very great This is small lane which displays & sells the russian articles & souvenirs. They sell russian styled chocolates , dolls , bracelet etc. the street is named so as dalian was formerly ruled for few years from 1898 to 1905 by Russians. Having visited dalian this is worth visiting once.

My husband and I visited Russian Street during the Chinese Golden week. The stalls have many interesting items from Russian dolls to chocolate and warm clothing or various prices and quality. Some stalls are more pricy than others so do a walk through before buying. We found a delightful coffee shop called The Little Prince. Although it was not cheap it had a charm of its own and doubled up as a souvenir shop. These were reasonably priced. The art gallery at the beginning of the street is worth visiting as it is free and had an oil painting exhibition on while we were there. The painitngs were of moutain scenes around China.

The street is not very long, just a lot of shops selling souvenirs from Russia. Maybe it is nice just for a photoshoot of interesting buildings.

I was expecting good things when visiting this place and was very disappointed. There's a small amount of Russian style architecture but it's seem much better days. The street itself was dirty and was lined with vendors selling absolute tat e.g. poor quality plastic dolls, gun shaped lighters etc. Would not recommend.

Russian Lu (or if you like Russian Style Street, Russian Custom Street, etc) is over in vicinity of the ports district in Dalian. Basically it’s a longish commercial road starting to the north of Shengli Qiào. It comprises many shops and market stalls all selling more or less the same souvenirs - the ubiquitous Russian dolls, equally plentiful bars of Russian chocolates (not a great buying choice in the hot summer heat without refrigeration), jewellery and opals, military style toys, and so forth. There’s also a Russian pectopaH (restaurant) and a couple of coffee joints. The large, aged mansion at the start of Russia Street is a reminder of Dalian’s Russian past.

Went on 28 Nov and besides limited photo snaps, nothing much to be thrilled about.
At 2pm, only few shops were opened and majority were closed (maybe, should come in evening).
Shops selling similar stuff. Russian dolls (workmanship is so so). Russian chocolate at RM10 (not tasty, I feel). Dalian seafood stuff (not my kind).

Worth a visit for the architecture although its difficult to tell what is old or restored. Lots of stalls selling russian tourist souvenirs alongside strange stuff like dried sea cucumbers!
