Great panoramic views from the top of one of the world's tallest Ferris wheel, the Star of Nanchang. Operations commenced in 2006, and the Ferris wheel is showing its age.

Due to the coronavirus, the Star of Nanchang was idle during our drive-by. The 160-metre in height looks spectacular with the relatively clear sky as a backdrop.

A little alone visit around there.
The Star of Nanchang looks spectacular, really big, excitant and maybe funy.
But, I prefer just see it.

As of right now this attraction is closed. There is some obvious work being done in the courtyard entrance and the wheel itself. I'm not sure of the time frame for reopening.

Awesome but goes around too slow😁😎. Great view on a clear day and a small packed lunch could add to the experience.

Can’t go wrong on the worlds second largest Ferris wheel (after Singapore). You buy the tickets (50 kuai- cash, but no wechat) from a booth about twenty feet to the left of the entrance. I came in early February, just before New Years, and the place was empty. It was great. You walk up an hop into your sealed, 6 seater box, while it’s moving, and by the time you reach the top (roughly 15 minutes), you feel like a king. I’ll let the pictures describe it all, you can see the whole city on both sides of the river, as well as their magnificent bridges, I hear the sunset from there is great. When you’re done, don’t forget to feed the birds by the base, and stop by the beach right next to it to build a sandcastle, but a kite, or just walk and admire the river, with a date, or solo. I was able to meet new friends and talk on the beach! Amazing area in general!

There is also a nice coffee shop just a few minutes walk south of the Star of Nanchang, and some other small amusement park rides children will enjoy. The whole wheel circuit takes about 25 minutes or so.
