Free entry if you stay at Pan Pacific hotel through back gate! Excellent, peaceful garden well worth a visit. At South Gate to garden sits the Panmen water and land gates in a stretch of the old city walls. Much quieter to visit than other...More

3 in one places with gardens, pagoda and temple. Nicely and well crafted stones in the ponds and garden.

If you are interested in historical buildings this is a site not to be missed. The ancient walls and the pegoda were originally built in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Three-Kingdom Period respectively. The sites are set in a beautiful classical garden with...More

We took a full day to walk the Panmen Gate area to the river and along the river quite a way. There are a lot of side buildings beyond the pagoda, including the General Tower with all it's gates and city walls.

A pity we made it to Panmen Gate after sunset and hence was unable to appreciate the full grandeur of her beauty. The place is huge and was used as a filming location for several Chinese blockbuster serials. Its not difficult to understand why as...More

To get to the Panmen Scenic area, we walked along the newly developed riverside walkways in the pleasant shade of the trees and away from the crowds. The remnants of the city wall, gates and ramparts made this an interesting visit.
