Impressing! / Łukasz K.

I visited Suzhou Garden last Sunday (15.01.2017) It is amazing place with a lot of examples of Chines culture (buildings) and their love for plants.

Only 30 minutes by train from SHANGHAI is the town of suzhou. Be aware there are loads of touts surrounding the station wanting to take you to the gardens but you can get the 178 bus for 2 rnb-takes 10 minutes. It is obviously a Chinese tourist attraction with lots of shops but the gardens are beautiful-I don't care if... More

Everything is recently renovated so don't expect the traditional, old, authentic garden. Most of the stuff here have been renovated is the 90s, so it looks pretty fake

Suzhou is a very Chinese place. Its many gardens explain it all. Suzhou is basically not a very big city but it has many gardens. The classical Zhuzheng garden is one of them. It is a nice and big garden, you learn the history of Chinese garden there.

The gardens are truly peaceful and lovely. They offer you different views from different windows for lovely photos ending in an amazing garden of bonsoi trees. The different water features were memorable.

The two gardens we visited namely the Administrators Garden and lingering Garden were both worth going miles to see. Well Cared for and maintained a treat to the eyes.

Very well kept, the Suzhou gardens are outstanding on their own right as world and chinese national heritage. Almost always overcrowded at weekends, the best days to visit are Tu/We/Thu - you may get a feeling of old the ancient times, with scholars studying, walking the garden paths and yingyang-ing off world problems. Take a Judge Dee-copy and you'll most... More

The garden is very big and the uneven path is difficult for the physically challenged. The flowers in the ponds are all dead this time of the year. I presumed that it will be prettier in the Spring.
