City's teeming Muslim population has been inhabiting here since the 17th century . Temple built in 1693 and people inside were friendly and inviting when requesting for entry . Many Halal restaurants near mosque , suitable for Muslim travelers .
Although you should visit it regardless, as of writing this the main parts of the area are under heavy renovation and most buildings are covered in ugly scaffolding. You can still walk around and the area is still fully operational as a mosque.
