...therefore you must! But I found the three gorges cruise rather dull. Some of the scenery is certainly beautiful, but by no means all of it. You'll see as many power stations and factories belching out fumes as you will rocky cliffs and forests. There just didn't seem enough to see to warrant three days sailing through terrain that looks... More

The scenery is so beautiful. I took a ton of pictures. I took the cruise from Yichang to CHongquin and the first gorge, Xiling, is the longest and the deepest. The gorge is stunning. Wu Gorge is the second longest and is also beautiful. The third is Qutang gorge and it is very small, maybe about 10-15 minutes cruise time.... More

A really varied experience with all three gorges offering different but breathtaking scenery. So much to see and it is sometimes hard to know where to look. We loved all three gorges and something to see at every time of day

Cruised down the Three Gorges on a three night cruise from Chongquing to Yichang. To be honest, we went to Jiuzhaigao before hand which was simply stunning mountainous scenery and far more up close and personal with the locals. This was great, but set the bar high for the Three Gorges. The most spectacular part of the Gorges came on... More

You could say that the three gorges is just that. There is nothing astoundingly picturesque about them. If you had seen one, you had seen 'em all. I believe that the three gorges is a selling point for the Yangtze River cruises. When we recall that our cruise itself was forgettable, the three gorges did little to add value to... More

Parts of this gorge was reminiscent of an Alaskan Cruise. Very large mountains with shear cliffs. Seeing the locals fish and live on the banks was real cool as well. If you go to China, you must do the River Cruise.

Great picture opts. Our smalls boat tour put us on small open air boats. The boat takes inland as far as it goes, then back again. We had great sun... and green, really green vegetation.

The actual scenery of the three gorges, and even more so the Lesser Three Gorges is simply stunning. If you're doing a full cruise though just check that your ship is going to make stops at the right places etc.

Our cruise ship entered last of the Three Gorges .The Xiling Gorge stretches from Zigui to Nanjin Pass..It is the longest with 66km in length. We were on the sundeck before the captain's announcement , to view the biggest gorge on the Yangzi. It is surrounded by four smaller gorges. In the past ,many boats were capsized due to the rapid... Spectacular views and so worth seeing on the cruise. The days we were cruising it was very hazy and we did not see the sun or the sky.
