Nice walk across the bridge. Do have to be aware of the many bikes both motorised and unmotorised as a significant part of the walking path is quite narrow and had to also consider foot traffic from the opposite direction. Single file walking is preferred and in China, the etiquette is to keep right. The bridge is quite long (1.7km so at least 30 mins to an hour). We walked it to also visit the Yellow Crane Tower and Guishan park which were both nearby. At the south end of the bridge, there are some eating streets near Minzhu Road and Hubuxiang Snack Street(戶部巷小吃街) with delicious local food.

I am a native of Wuhan, and I often take some foreign guests to visit Wuhan. For me, Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge is: Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge is the first bridge on the Yangtze River. It is also a highway and railway bridge. It opened on 1957,and it has been in operation for over 60 years. Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge is an excellent place to take photos. A bridge flies north and south, with a panoramic view of the scenery on both sides of the Yangtze River. Walking along the river beach under the bridge, you can also feel the city culture of Wuhan local residents and experience the real life of Wuhan citizens.

An amazing structure built in collaboration with Russia, the first to span the Yangtze. We were lucky enough to sail under it on our cruise.

I am sure that you won't know how wonderful this day was !
We went to the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge on today's morning, when you are standing under the bridge, you will think it's very long , but actually it's only about 1.67 km, I think for an adult it may takes you half an hour to take some photos while walking across the bridge from the bridgehead to the end of the whole bridge. (The bridgehead was under the bridge, you need to take the elevator.)
We had a dinner then ,the hot dry noodles there were so dilicious! I love it! The spicy crayfish there was also very nice , I recommend you to have a try!!!
When we got to the Yangtze River embankment it was evening, we saw the ships and the reflection of the bridge clearly, they were so beautiful ! I could even feel the wind which was come with the smell of the water went across your face! That's pretty cool!!!
This was the last day we went to Wuhan I love there so much that I am sure I will visit here again as soon as I can!!!

When I was at school, I have learnt the first Yangtze river bridge, but never have chance to visit before. It is both for vehicles and railway, first bridge at Yangtze river and built by both Chinese and Russian Engineers. Due to the construction of the said bridge, the Yellow Crane Tower shifted to the present new area from the original one.

Wuhan Yangtze river bridge, "miles Yangtze river first bridge" lies between Yu Wuchang snake mountain and hanyang guishan river, is China in the first bridge built over the river, it is of great significance in the history of Chinese QiaoLiangShi. Construction began on September 1, 1955 and opened to traffic on October 15, 1957. The construction of the bridge was helped by the Russian. The bridge is a double-layer steel truss bridge, the upper part is a highway bridge with sidewalks on both sides. The lower layer is the railway line. “Quoted from internet”

This bridge mark an important history of China. I did not grade more stars because of everyday weather is so polluted outside and you seldom have a chance to take a clear view or photo of this great bridge. After visiting this bridge, I feel more conscious of keeping the environment green as mankind are continue destroy the nature.

It was drizzling and misty so we can’t see that far. But the bridge is beautiful and huge spanning the mighty Yangtze River. Definitely ideal for photo taking.

It is an important bridge of Wuhan. I think visiting at the afternoon or evening is better. You can have a great view there. You should cross the bridge on foot.
