Came here following a visit to Yellow Crane Tower. Very interesting exhibition of Ladies of Chinese Dynasties. Loved the porcelain displays - some very interesting and quirky "potties" :-))

Remarkable historic findings from Marquis Yi with his bronze bells and tomb artifacts. Some very impressive bronze, lacquer and jade pieces. The highlight was the wonderful show with the bells and Chinese instruments.

Allow more time at the museum to watch the 30 minutes chime bells performance in the theatre located on the left hand side of the museum. Two shows in the afternoon , 2 pm and 3pm. It cost 30rmb for the show.

The museum is really huge and you need at least half a day to visit it. The have a nice collection of everything from Hubei province and you get a good impression of the local culture and the history.
