Admittedly, the weather in May is hot and humid. This does not augur well with pools of hot water with temperatures between 39 and 42 deg C.

There is only one "cooler" pool where the water temperature is 10 to 15 deg C.

During our visit, at least half of the pools are closed.

The place badly needs maintenance.

I agree with other reviewers that the pools may not be hygienic.

At the end of our visit, I was looking forward to a cold shower to cool off. Unfortunately, there is no cold water in the showers, all with very hot water.

Very disappointing.

We stay for around 4 hours in February 2019. The small jacussy don't have bubbles. but water is very hot. It is small park with trees, air is very good. The place have 5-6 bigger swimming pools 1 small lake and maybe more than 70 small like jacussy pools. Another good thing is marble beds for relax which are very hot and pool with small fishes which peel your skin, very refreshing

Not a bad place at all. Most of the pools are pretty bland, but a few ones are very good for aromatherapy, and the fish tanks are a funny experience (and the whole experience wasn't expensive at all, compared to European standards).

There are a number of large and small pools at this resort with varying temperatures and a "fun" pool for kids. The organisation is good and the changing facilities clean. Unlike many hot springs there is no sulphur smell so one can have a relaxing afternoon.

Quite expensive for what it is. All the pools are fairly similar. I don't believe the health benefits listed would have been gained from each pool as they only looked faintly different in colour. The lemon pool was hot water with a small bag of lemons in. We chose a good day to visit, cloudy with a little rain so didn't get too hot although I don't feel it would be enjoyable on a hot day. The huge fish pool was the best by far! I spent most of my day there, very enjoyable and relaxing! Although, there were annoying, misbehaving children scaring away the fish and splashing others. Overall an enjoyable day, not overly crowded. The health tea at the end was also a nice touch and the location in which the spa is set. They also provide lockers, towels, croc style shoes, shampoo and body wash to use free of charge.

The place is great, nice design and great pools, plenty to do and enjoy.

However the place needs some maintenance and the F&B needs a lot of work.

The guy in the food court fell asleep after taking our order and we could have just walked away without paying.

The food quality was great, but not much choice and bad service.

I was surprised by all the different pools they offer, but there was a lot of them that were empty. Also pools with fishes had huge fishes in them so it wasn't the most pleasant experience and since it's so hot in Sanya it's hard to stay in hot pools for too long. It is good overall experience tho

Paid around 200 RMB per person. Do remember to bring swimming gear or else you will have to purchase them from the shop

It was raining heavily when I was there, so it was really warm and humid. This definitely affected my experience - Would be way nicer if it was bright and sunny but cold

Most of the small pools were around 39-42 C. I was under the impression that they were not natural hot springs but our driver said that it was.

Many of the pools were empty but the pool where fish eat the dead skin cells off your feet was worth the trip. The swimming pool was very relaxing. They even served cold beer in the pool. Plus a lot of pretty Russian girls to look at. I stayed at the hotel and got access to the spa with my room. Saved $200 RMB per person. Without the hotel benefit I feel it is over priced. There is a good water park for the kids.

The words 'Hot Spring' apparently don't mean the same thing in Chinese as in English. It's not natural, and the water is heated by mechanical means.

That said, there are tons of pools to try. Our favorite was the fish pond, where fish nibble at your dead skin in ticklish but not painful way. The price is a little steep for a waterpark, but it was relaxing.

Tip: Don't get a taxi. It's annoying and expensive. There are free shuttle busses from major hotels at Dadonghai Beach which are FREE. They only leave every three hours, so plan ahead and save unlike us.
