We booked our tour through ChinaTour.Net and visited during CNY,February 2016. The river cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo takes about 4 hours and lunch was included. It is surrounded by karst mountains, amazing greenery and breathtaking views. Along the river, there were scenes where we have often seen in Chinese watercolors and scroll paintings. The ships guide will inform you of the... More

Booked the cruise with my girlfriend, paid 400 RMB each (after adding 20 to have English guide on the boat). While boat was pretty comfortable and indeed luxurious (lunch, contrary to our fears, was adequate), one of the two guides was mainly interested in selling extra tour to the countryside (don't get it, Yangshuo has plenty of things to do)... The unearthly karst topography of the river is only duplicated in a small section of Eastern Europe (which I have not visited). Doing this trip with a lunch of river crabs and other Chinese dishes that are delivered to the kitchen while on cruise, is just perfect.

The Li river is as beautiful as its famed to be. A cruise along the meandering Li takes you among evergreen karst topography of strangely shaped lovely limestone hills, orange farms. little habitations, holiday home sites, bamboo rafts, all flowing by gently. Mountain of Splendid Hues, Elephant Trunk Hill can be spotted, as is that spot where all tourists rush... More

Yes, this is an absolutely must see when visiting Guilin. But like with many other top tourist destinations, there always is a drawback. This is especially true for the river Li landscape which every Chinese knows from the 20 RMB bill. So as Chinese tourism has picked up big time, be prepared for the huge crowds of local tourists waging... More

This cruise was one of the best tours during our five week trip to China. The scenery is spectacular. Highly recommended.

We took a cruise down the Li river from Guilin. We were lucky it was a warm sunny day. The slow leisurely pace of the boat was very soothing. The mountains or casts l think they call them were very beautiful. Lunch was included in the price of the 4 hour trip. We also paid extra for a second tour... More

If there is a heaven on earth then it has to be the Li River area from Guilin to Yangshou. Taking the cruise down the Li River in our opinion has too be one of the top sites to see in China along with the Great Wall and the Terra Cotta Soldiers. My wife and I have done it twice... More

We tpok the trip from Giilin to Hanshou by boat. This scenic trip on the Li River is very beautiful. The soaring mountains are really spectacular and evoke memories of beautiful Chinese scroll paintings. It is very busy with many boats leaving Guilin at the same time and following one after the other up this very fast flowing river. If... More

We were advised to go on the river Like on the bamboo rafts, not the punt along ones, but the bigger ones that seat 6 (4 if you are westerners). Unfortunately the bit of river we were taken to wasn't the most attractive, we left around 8:30 in the morning, the fact trip was about an hour long, but to... More
