This street is at riverside, so you can do shopping and take a walk . For shopping guys, some famous brands you can find here like ZARA, if you prefer luxury brand I recommend you to go to Parkson department store.(Please notice it closes at 9pm) If you want to have sightseeing, you can see some old buildings here and... This street gives an interesting insight into the zhongshan of the past. Buildings are well preserved, and the spots of interest are well signposted in Chinese and English. We visited during the day, and the style of shopping in all the restored buildings is completely out of character. It's all clothing, handbags, shoes. No one in the shops even looking... More

The only thing I enjoyed about the pedestrian street was the museum and the historical monuments. You could buy snack but not a nice sit down meal. I didn't go into a single shop as I did not need clothes, shoes or jewellery. I was also stared at a lot due to the fact I was the sole white person... More

There's nothing really about this place that I can recommend. The shops are ordinary. Every fifth store is about fitness. There's hardly any visitors inside the stores! It is pedestrianized and that's good. But nothing special about the pace at all.

Watch out for the mopeds! They zip through the middle of the road so best to stay along the shops for safety. This was a nice place to check out. The shops are geared towards the locals. However, we did find a seamster that could hem pants for $4 yuan a pair, what a deal! I bet this area would... More

Nice pedestrian street lined on both sides by historical building from the early 1900s. Snacks are everywhere but shopping is not geared for westerners. You may find some souvenirs but the clothing are local style. The museum in the middle is very interesting with models and photographs depicting life at the end of Qing Dynasty.

This is the place you want to go if you want to buy presents and stuff. Every thing from mobile accessories to cloths to bags to toys to jewelry are available covering a wide range of prices. You get branded stuff in brand outlets as well as common man's stuff in rest of the places alike. What you buy is... More

The people of Zhongshan are friendly and it is fun to casually stroll. We usually avoid the tourist streets, but this one has redeeming qualities. In spite of the modern music blaring in the air (to draw your attention to stores) you can can feel the history around you. This town has long been subject to foreign influence and evidence... More
