Was glad to see that Nantou has a popular pub moving in. The Bionic Brewery that founded the Electric City Brewing Fest in Shenzhen is opening a spot there and they are really revitalizing Nantou Ancient Town. I think in a few months, it will be absolutely awesome when all the construction is complete. Right now, you need a bit of imagination but once discovered, it will take off.

This review as the title says is for the museum,, not the city area which was under serious construction when we visited. The museum is not very big, 2 rooms downstairs and 1 larger area upstairs (lift available) It is a Chinese musuem and unusually there is not 1 word in the displays other than written Chinese. However, the very helpful young lady on the desk when I entered gave me a visitor book which is in Chinese/English so I was able to follow the story all the way through. It gives you an insight in to Shenzhen of old, probably they are trying to somehow give it a sense of history. Not a must see by any means but if you have 30 minutes to kill pop in as its free.
