Great place to be, seeing this tall tall tower, it reminds us of an obelisk or even the Big Ben in London. Nothing particularly special about this place though, it was surrounded with food shacks and convenience stores. It's still a bit far from the beach.

Nothing really to see here. There is a mall in this area but it's just your typical garthering spot for locals.

Kingkey 100 is the tallest skyscraper in Shenzhen, unfortunately it's not a public attraction. To get to the 100th floor you need to buy a 230RMB per person food voucher from St. Regis Hotel. Rest of the buildings are private companies that tourists have no access. Unless you know a guy who lives or work in the building, there is... More

Nice tower to see from downstairs but as there is no public viewing deck it's hard to see the view from above. It's possible to buy a voucher for 230 RMB per person for food and drinks on the bar restaurant but they shield it very well from visitors.

Not really a sight as there's no observatory at the top, but you can pay an expensive deposit to visit the expensive restaurant there. View is not the best as the city is surrounded by a "foggy atmosphere" from all the pollution, just like Beijing. Get there by taking the MTR to Grand Theater and exit B.

I just went around the building and took some snaps. The area and the Kingkey 100 tower in particular can be a good place to take good pictures.

I live in Shenzhen. I take people here quite often when they visit and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. If the weather is nice, you get amazing views, particularly to the south where you can see the border between Mainland China and the Hong Kong countryside. It really is a huge contrast - the development of... More
