one of the most beautiful places in Dongguan, and it's good for leisure activities. the location is good, near the downtown, you can drive by yourself or take any public transportation easily to get there. it's natural but amenities are good and convenient for visitors. it's good for spending at least half a day on it, because after hiking or cycling you can easily get a restaurant surrounding to enjoy your meal.

It was a beautiful day, and early in tyhe morning. I walked a short way into the park, and looked particularly at the lake. I can see that in a few weeks time, when the blossoms increase, the park will be spectacular. This park adjoins Qifeng Park, and it is a huge area to explore. Locals tell me it takes about four hours to walk around the perimeter of both parks. There would be plenty to see along the way.

A lovely place to visit - great for cycling and walking with friends and family. Gets VERY hot in the midday, but that's the quietest time of the day :)

When I travel to Dongguan I like to stay at the adjacent Sofitel Royal Lagoons just for the opportunity to spend time at this large and attractive park each day. The grounds are immaculately maintained, the walking paths have tremendous variety (loop around a lake, lots of steep hills if desired, or miles of gently winding trails), and the setting is very peaceful. This makes for a nice departure from the hustle/bustle of Dongguan for both the residents and visitors and is greatly appreciated.

At the weekend, I visited HuYing Park (虎英公园) in Dōngchéng (东城) via bus 54 (2RMB) from Guantai Lu near Nánchéng (南城) bus station, after taking the L1 bus (3RMB) from Hòujiē (厚街). It is easy to walk to from Dongcheng.

The park is cleaner than most other city parks. There are statues, trails and plenty of places to stroll. The neighbouring hotel complex of Tangla does not interfere and it connects well to QiFeng Park over a bridge to the west. The problem I have with the park is the noise from the small theme park, located quite centrally, fills most of the air with the sounds of "Xiao Pingguo" and other such non-works-of-art. The ponds, streams, small pathways to the pavillion are pretty and there is evidence of some good wildlife in amphibians, insects (preying mantids, caterpillars and butterflies galore) as well as many beautiful sounds of singing birds. If they turned off the mobile KTV boxes lining one hill, some people could escape the city and enjoy the cicadas gently humming - however, the KTV keeps the cicadas on constant alarm status. It is a good park for someone with a camera and offers plenty of shade from the relentless sun. Bring earplugs for true peace.

Quiet park for those lazy sundays where you want to get out an enjoy the sunshine. It's not too busy the further in you get into the park but towards night time is when most Chinese people do their exercise due to the heat and humidity.

Like orienteering? Aside from the stone trails, there are other side tracks to explore. Place has occasional signposts (some arms missing) but a lack of a decent signboard map until arriving at the exit kept me guessing.
As this park is connected via 2 bridges to Qifeng Park its convenient to start at one end and walk to the other, maybe take L5A back to the central bus station.

Nice to walk in the very beginning and in the end of the day, out of summer sunlight (which I do not love)
Around the lake has beautiful garden. I used to walk there every night. another good point is in China you can always walk safely at any time, which for some country nationals is something like unusual.
