Beautiful city and water views from this Xiamen coastal road. There are many things to see and do along the route, including jogging and cycling tracks (bike rentals available), museums to visit, enjoy some of the architecture, dine at one of the many restaurants, enjoy drinks at the cafes, and more.

This scenic road has lots to see. The beaches that look across the ocean to the islands of Kinmen, the One Country Two Systems beach, the Zhengcuoan Fishing village, and more, all along this strip of highway. It's very tropical feel and seemed to be easy to find parking.

We were taken on a drive on this very nice stretch of road that had scenic views of the ocean. We periodically pulled over into various parking lots to get out and walk along the paths or beaches.

The city did a very nice job of making this an attractive place to get out and bike, walk or run along separate paths away from traffic and nicely maintained landscaping. Beaches were clean and, at this time of the year, not too many people out and about.

We turned around next to the huge One Country, Two Systems sign that supposedly is visible to Taiwan.

Definitely a very relaxing walk in the cool air, experiencing the beauty of the sea and the well manicured lawns and landscape. Enjoy the fresh air and beaches along the way. Walk as far as you wish. Picture perfect.

We heard from many people that the Kulangsu Huandao Road was a great activity and decided to see the sights via a sightseeing bus. We took a taxi to the transportation center and hopped on the sightseeing bus for a circle around Xiamen.
We departed at the Hulishan Fort Station and walked the length of three of the bus stops along the Road. Strolling on the boardwalk along the water was a peaceful change to daily trips by train and taxi to destinations. The cement and tiled park is very spacious and has some steps but alternative ramps in each area. Many beaches, statues and shaded spots to sit with benches, tables and expansive areas. There were frequent public restrooms along the beach and my 18 month old grandson enjoyed the sand, getting his feet wet and running free of the stroller for a change. As you walk along there are beautiful views of Gulangyu Island including the Zhengchenggong Statue.
One of the best spots along the road that we enjoyed was the street market across from the Longhnshan Station stop. Tons of food and shops through a maze of streets.

With the convenience of bike sharing, this area has great views from the seat of a bicycle. The gentle breeze makes a very comfortable stretch of road an amazing bike ride. Views of land meeting ocean and clear blue skies, this is a great way to enjoy the day!
